The Continental Automated Buildings Association is pleased to announce that Dr. Noah Goldstein, LEED AP, a Research Director at Navigant Research, has joined the CABA Board of Directors. Goldstein replaces Clint Wheelock, Navigant Research’s former managing director.
Goldstein leads Navigant Research’s Smart Buildings program, with a focus on energy efficiency, building energy management, and applied sustainability. His recent research includes reports on Zero Energy Buildings and Energy Management in Small and Medium Commercial Buildings.
Ronald J. Zimmer, CABA President & CEO, said: “We are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Noah Goldstein to CABA’s Board of Directors. Mr. Goldstein’s knowledge and experience concerning actionable market research will be an asset to CABA and we look forward to working with him.”
Prior to joining Navigant Research, Goldstein was a member of the engineering directorate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he had three major roles: program developer for building energy efficiency, project leader for energy systems informatics, and scientific lead for site sustainability. He led LLNL’s participation in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Efficient Building Hub, a $120 million project to improve the energy efficiency of existing buildings. As the Sustainability Lead for LLNL, Goldstein participated in energy procurement and energy efficiency decision-making for the site.
Goldstein holds a BA in biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MA and PhD in Geography from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
“I accepted a directorship at CABA because I strongly believe that this trade organization is focused on realizing the opportunities upon which our industry’s future will be built,” stated Goldstein. “I know that the other board members and CABA member organizations share this view.”
